Workplace experiences of occupational therapy practitioners in recovery from addiction/substance use
We want to better understand addiction, substance use, and recovery in occupational therapy practitioners (OTPs). To do that, we intend to explore the lived experiences of OTPs who have experienced both addiction and recovery and also those who have not; and we also want to hear what occupational therapy students think of addiction/recovery. Because substance use/addiction impacts the individual, the workplace, and patients, we hope that the findings of this study can inform the profession of OT on how to best support recovery for its practitioners.
